Bangkok

7 Awesome Days in Bangkok for First-Time Gay Travelers Where is Bangkok’s Gay Community? The undisputed heart of Bangkok’s gay scene, nightlife, and social scene is Silom and Patpong, particularly Silom Soi 2 and Silom Soi 4.
Silom Soi 4: This is the main gay bar street. This pedestrian-friendly street is full of bars, outdoor terraces, and some of the city’s best drag shows. Silom Soi 2: Just one block away, this soi (alley) is home to the city’s largest and most famous gay club, DJ Station.
Accommodation Tip: Staying in the adjacent Silom or Sathorn area offers the easiest access to the gay district, major parks, and the efficient BTS/MRT system. Itinerary: Culture by day, Luxury by night, Daytime Focus, Morning/Afternoon (Culture/Food), Evening/Night (Gay Scene and Nightlife).
Day 1: Arrive and Immerse Yourself. Check into your hotel. (Ideal for Silom/Sathorn areas.) The first thing to do is get a haircut at the gay bar C&B Gentlemen’s Barber. We recommend the Jet Lag Package: Hair Cut & Color, cover gray, facial, manicure, and pedicure to recover from your flight. Then, start your night on Silom Soi 4, the famous gay bar street. Sip a welcome cocktail at Balcony Bar and head to DJ Station or The Stranger Bar to watch the energetic and famous drag show.
Day 2: Old Bangkok: Visit historical landmarks: the Grand Palace and nearby Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha). Don’t forget to dress appropriately! Yaowarat Street Food Tour: Take a taxi or MRT to Yaowarat. Spend the evening exploring the bustling streets and sampling the many delicious street food. Late at night, have fun at Moon Light Bar at the Surawong Hotel on Thaniya Soi 2. Telephone The Night Shift also offers karaoke.
Day 3: ICONSIAM and the modern and luxurious riverside lifestyle: Take the BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksin and hop on the free ferry to the luxurious ICONSIAM shopping mall. Enjoy the stunning views and the indoor floating market at SookSiam MahaNakhon SkyWalk & Rooftop Views: Head to the MahaNakhon building (near BTS Chong Nonsi) for a breathtaking sunset from the glass-bottomed observation deck. Enjoy drinks at a nearby rooftop bar before heading back to your accommodation. Get ready for a night out at the charming bar district of male go-go bars on Phat Phong 2 Road. There are plenty of bars to choose from, including Hot Male Bar, Dream Boys, Fresh Boys, Good Boys, and the new bar Rainbow Dragon.
-Day 4: Markets and Parks: Go for a morning run or stroll in Lumphini Park (Bangkok’s “Central Park” next to Silom), then head to the massive Chatuchak Weekend Market (Saturday/Sunday) for some shopping. Silom Clubbing Night: Head to Silom Soi 2 to experience DJ Station, the city’s iconic three-story gay nightclub, and G Bar, known for its lively performances. Expect it to get livelier after midnight.
-Day 5: Arts & Wellness: Explore the Jim Thompson House (traditional Thai architecture and silk history), followed by a visit to the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) near Siam Square. Relax with the local atmosphere: Try visiting unique gay bars and restaurants like G Bangkok, Balcony, Circus, Connections, and Pride Bar (Silom Soi 4) for a meal or a drink. You might even find someone you like.
Day 6: Day Trip Adventure: Floating Markets and Train Market: Take a guided day trip to the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the fascinating Mae Klong Railway Market (with a train running directly through the market). In the afternoon, experience the popular gay saunas like Krubb or R3 for relaxation and socializing.
Day 7: Final Snack and Departure: Enjoy a delicious final lunch. Do some last-minute souvenir shopping at CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, or MBK Center, then head to the airport.
